LightOx has developed light activated chemotherapy for treatment of early-stage mouth cancers. Its first product will be a topical treatment for oral cancers where the drug is applied directly to a cancerous lesion and then activated by light to provide pinpoint targeting of the tumour. This is planned to go into Phase 1 trials in 2024.
