The Northstar team is excited to be joining forces with one of our investees, onHand, to help support our local communities.

onHand is the world’s first on-demand volunteering app, making volunteering for employees easier. The app allows you to see people nearby who might need a helping hand with really simple stuff. You can choose what types of missions you’d like to take on and it is completely flexible to do as much or as little as you like.

Investment Manager at Northstar, Khadija Ashfaq said, “We are super excited to be partnering with Onhand to further our commitment to having a positive societal and economic impact on the region. The Onhand app perfectly aligns with our goals to tackle deep societal issues such as loneliness, climate change, food wastage and homelessness. We look forward to continuing to support Onhand with funding and helping them launch a white label version of the onHand app for the North East in a bid to encourage the whole region to live more sustainably.”
